Samsung Mobile have officially released the Kitkat update for their Galaxy S4 mini duos( GT-I9192) in Russia. Other regions are awaiting the release. But you don't have to wait,  as  the update is now available for download from Sam mobile website . Those from other regions can also install this update. I am from India and I have been using this update here without any issues.

Please refer the above screen shot from my phone . Now I will tell you how to get this . Before proceeding , make a backup of the important data in your phone. Even though this update doesn't erase anything from the phone,  it is better to backup the critical data  . Your phone should have at least 50% charge. Download the latest USB drivers for your phone.

 Go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=3237
Download the firmware file (850 mb) Extract the firmware file ( md5 ) Download odin from the same website . Extract the zip file
Open odin app.
Reboot the phone in download mode ( press and hold Home ,  power and volume down key together .
Connect the phone via USB and wait for the ready sign in odin . In the odin , click on the pda button and select the md5 file. Please make sure that the repartition is un ticked . The update process takes few minutes. Wait till the process completes and do not disconnect the phone.  Once the flashing is over,  the phone will restart itself. It will start optimising the apps . When everything is finished,  the odin will show the message success . Disconnect your phone from USB . Now your Samsung galaxy s4 mini is running on Kitkat . Enjoy.

If you have any doubts in the flashing , please contact me.  Share your comments . Happy to help 
